Saudia, the national flag carrier of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has retained its title as the world’s most on-time airline for arrivals in July 2026, according to the latest global on-time performance report from aviation analytics company, Cirium.
The airline topped Cirium’s global on-time performance report for the third consecutive month, building on its first-place ranking in May and June 2026. The result was achieved during one of the year’s busiest operational periods amid the peak summer travel season.
Across the month of July, Saudia operated 16,406 flights globally, achieving an on-time arrival rate of 87.24% and an on-time departure rate of 88.58%. In contrast, Cirium’s summary of top performers showed an average on-time arrival rate of 83.55%.
During the first half of the year, Saudia recorded over 1,800 flights from Europe, connecting guests through leading international hubs such as London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Manchester, Paris Charles de Gaull, Frankfurt and more.
The latest results build on Saudia’s strong operational performance, after the airline ranked second globally in Cirium’s 2025 annual on-time performance review with an 86.53% OTP rate.
The result reflects the coordinated efforts of teams across Saudia Group, supported by close collaboration with aviation partners and government entities operating at airports. It also highlights the role of advanced digital systems and artificial intelligence in supporting operational planning, decision making, and day-to-day operations, helping ensure a more reliable travel experience for guests.
H.E. Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, Director General of Saudia Group, said: “Consistency at this level is only possible when every team across the organisation is working toward the same goal. It reflects the capability of our national workforce and our continued investment in the technologies that strengthen our operations every day.”
He added: “Ranking first globally for the third time this year is an achievement we are proud of, but our focus extends beyond rankings. Our priority is to deliver a reliable travel experience every day for our guests while continuing to contribute to the objectives of the Saudi Aviation Strategy. We will continue strengthening our operations, investing in our people, and building on the standards that have enabled us to achieve this performance.”
The July ranking marks the third time that Saudia has ranked first globally for on-time performance, with all three rankings achieved during two of the year’s busiest operating periods, including Hajj and the peak summer travel season. Together, these rankings reflect the airline’s ability to maintain consistently high operational standards during periods of sustained demand.
