Liege Airport has reported a significant increase in cargo volumes and aircraft movements in 2025, reinforcing its ambition to become one of Europe’s top three cargo hubs.
According to figures shared by the airport, cargo tonnage rose by 14 percent year-on-year to 1.32 million tonnes, up from 1.16 million tonnes in 2024. Meanwhile, cargo aircraft movements also grew by 6 percent from 27,184 in 2024 to 28,822 in 2025.
Liege Airport attributed the growth to an expanding cargo network, increasing interest from airlines, and more logistics partners joining its ecosystem. The airport emphasised the contribution of its teams and partners in driving this momentum forward.
While 2026 is expected to bring more challenging conditions amid a tightening global environment, the airport stated it will remain focused and continue to advance its strategic goals.
“On the ground, this means more airlines choosing Liege, more logistics partners onsite and a cargo network that keeps expanding. This progress reflects the strength of our teams and our ecosystem.
“2026 will be more challenging. The environment is tightening. We will stay focused and continue to move ahead with purpose.”
