GEODIS has announced that it has strengthened its temperature-controlled pharmaceutical shipment capabilities in Asia Pacific by obtaining World Health Organization (WHO) Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certification for freight forwarding services in Korea.

A key milestone in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance for healthcare logistics, this certification complements GEODIS Korea’s existing CEIV Pharma certification from 2023 and reinforces its position as a trusted partner for healthcare supply chains in South Korea and the Asia Pacific region.

This achievement underscores GEODIS’s ambition to be the trusted global logistics partner for the healthcare sector, delivering innovative, sustainable, and compliant solutions across nearly 70 countries. In Asia Pacific, GEODIS is strengthening its certified network and resilient supply chain capabilities to address the evolving needs of the region’s healthcare industry, in alignment with the company’s global commitments.

GEODIS Korea offers a comprehensive range of pharma logistics services, including freight forwarding under strict temperature-controlled conditions: +2°C to +8°C, +2°C to +25°C, and frozen to deep-frozen ranges, via air, ocean, and road transportation modes. GEODIS’ healthcare distribution centre is strategically located within Incheon Airport’s free trade zone, enabling smooth, compliant, and efficient movement of pharmaceutical products throughout the region.

“South Korea is a major hub for pharmaceutical innovation and distribution, with demanding requirements for quality and compliance,” said Benoit Brulé, Managing Director of GEODIS Korea. “Obtaining GDP certification was a natural step to meet these expectations and deliver safe, reliable solutions for our customers. Our goal is to be a growth partner for our clients by ensuring excellence in every aspect of our operations.”

The GDP certification guarantees that all processes, handling, and distribution meet international standards for pharmaceutical product integrity and safety. Combined with CEIV Pharma certification, GEODIS offers customers a globally recognised assurance of quality and compliance.
