  • DHL Supply Chain has opened a new carbon-neutral logistics centre in Halle (Saale), Germany, supporting continued growth and offering strategic capacity for future customers at the key logistics hub in Leipzig-Halle.
  • The facility features a total warehouse area of 34,000 square meters and the capacity to accommodate up to 55,000 pallet spaces.
  • With excellent transport connections, the site serves a diverse range of industries and enables efficient domestic and international distribution, including next-day global deliveries.

DHL Supply Chain recently launched its newest logistics centre in Halle (Saale), establishing the company’s third site in the area and further strengthening its presence in the region.

Fully operational and strategically integrated into the broader DHL Leipzig-Halle Campus, the site is already serving its first customers. This state-of-the-art facility offers a total warehouse area of 34,000 square meters, has the capacity to accommodate up to 55,000 pallet spaces, and is designed to meet the evolving needs of customers across various sectors.

The Halle logistics centre includes three operational halls, each spanning 10,500 square meters, and is equipped with 27 loading docks. Built to meet the highest sustainability standards (DGNB Gold), the site features photovoltaic systems and energy-efficient LED lighting, reflecting DHL’s goals to support customers with emission-reduced logistics services. The site currently employs more than 450 people, with an additional 100 jobs to be created once the extension building is fully utilised.

“Its proximity to Leipzig Airport (LEJ) enables late cut-off times of 10:30 p.m. for next-day global deliveries. Success depends on fostering strong partnerships and effective collaboration with our customers. The new logistics centre also supports the growth of existing customers already based on the DHL campus.”
