Cathay Cargo and ACW open registration for 20 August at 4pm Hong Kong time webinar on Greater Bay Area perishables

With around 86 million consumers and growing demand for premium imported food, China’s Greater Bay Area (GBA) represents a major opportunity for the global perishables industry. On 20 August 2026 at 4pm Hong Kong time, Cathay Cargo and Air Cargo Week (ACW) will bring together industry experts for an exclusive webinar exploring how exporters and logistics providers can access this dynamic market through Hong Kong.

“Cathay Cargo & ACW Present: Moving Perishables into China’s Greater Bay Area” will provide practical insights into the logistics solutions helping move fresh, chilled and temperature-sensitive products efficiently from global origins into Southern China, while safeguarding freshness and product integrity throughout the journey.

The webinar will explore how Hong Kong’s air-land, air-air and air-sea connectivity, advanced cold-chain capabilities and the Fresh Lane are facilitating access to the GBA. Speakers will also examine growing demand for imported perishables, evolving supply chain requirements and the opportunities available to exporters, freight forwarders and logistics partners.

Bringing together expertise from across the industry and government, the webinar will feature Sandy Kwan, Assistant General Manager, Aviation Logistics, Airport Authority Hong Kong; Calvin Leung, Divisional Commander (Air Cargo Research), Customs and Excise Department of the HKSAR; Sally Wong, General Manager Customer & Commercial, Cathay Cargo Terminal; and Frank Yau, Head of Cargo Sales HK & GBA, Cathay Cargo. Together, they will discuss how collaboration across the supply chain can support more efficient trade flows, enhance market access and help businesses capitalise on demand for premium perishables across the region.
