Bringer Air Cargo has achieved a major milestone by operating the first international wide-body freighter to land at Brazil’s Navegantes Airport (NVT) — a key gateway for the country’s southern industrial corridor.
The inaugural Boeing 767-300F flight from Miami touched down on 26 November, marking the start of regular cargo operations between the US and Santa Catarina, one of Brazil’s fastest-growing import hubs. Bringer initially plans weekly frequencies, with the potential to scale up to three or four flights per week based on demand.
This launch is the result of a long-term infrastructure and regulatory effort initiated in 2019. In collaboration with Motiva Airports and PACLOG Cargo Terminals, Bringer conducted technical and safety studies that led to major airside upgrades at NVT, including a runway extension, widened safety lanes, and enhancements to parking and maneuvering areas to accommodate wide-body aircraft.
The historic operation was performed with a LATAM Airlines B767-300F, under Bringer’s cargo programme. With a payload capacity of up to 50 tons, the aircraft opens new trade lanes into Brazil’s southern logistics network.
“This flight represents more than a new route—it’s a symbol of perseverance, collaboration, and our commitment to connecting markets with greater efficiency,” the company said in a statement.
A member of ICH and part of the Bringer Corporation Group, the carrier has been active in international air cargo since 1983. The launch of the MIA–NVT route further extends its presence in Latin America and reinforces its role in supporting scalable and reliable cross-border freight services.
